Evil always tries to stand up against the truth and prevent you from believing what is right. Evil will warp the mind and change your perception from even believing the truth. Evil will always call what is evil, good and what is good, evil.
Evil comes from the father of lies, so it will always seek to deceive, lie, steal, kill and destroy anything that is good. Evil will parade with many disguises and fancy words, but these will always lead to death and destruction.
Evil entices and seduces you with fruit that looks good and tastes even better but always brings shame and pain.
Evil is like Elymas the sorcerer in Acts 13:8-12,who stood up and tried to prevent the governor from believing Paul’s true message. Elymas had gained influence as the spiritual advisor of the governor, but the governor also wanted to hear what Paul had to say. Evil will always try to stop the truth being heard.
Paul confronted this evil head on. We must follow his example and confront evil to.
How did Paul confront evil?
- Paul stared into the eyes of Elymas and rebuked him. He stared into the eyes of evil and confronted evil with the truth.
- Filled with Holy Spirit Paul spoke.
You son of the devil. You are full of every form of fraud and deceit and an enemy of everything that is right. When will you stop perverting the truth of God, into lies?
At this moment the hand of Gods judgement comes down upon you and you will be blind, so blind you won’t be able to see the light of the sun. Acts 13:10
- And so it happened just as Paul said.
- The governor who witnessed this believed, and was awestruck by the power of the message from God.
We must seek to constantly be full of Holy Spirit.
Empowered from heaven for battle to hear the voice of God.
We to must look into the eyes of those who call evil good and good evil.
We must rebuke the evil.
We must confront that evil with the truth.
We must declare the consequences from God.
Let us pray for high alert discernment, as we pray faithfully with power, during these elections.
Do NOT allow the truth to be perverted into lies.
